About Student Representative Council
The Student Representative Council meets weekly and is designed to give the students of Asquith Boys High a voice.
Elections are hotly contested every year for five students from each year group to join the SRC.These students then elect their President, Treasurer and Secretary and form committee groups.
Committees have formed in Charity Drives, Environment, School Spirit and Publicity. Students are thus given an avenue to learn important leadership and events managment skills.
Representatives meet the Principal, School Council, Teacher groups and other SRC groups for consultation, to exchange ideas and canvas change.
Each year the students attend a two day camp where they plan for the new year and to learn new leadership skills. These camps are highly motivating and great fun is had by all.
Students that join the SRC are given a large range of opportunities to develop and grow as responsible and capable young men.
