Legacy Badge Day 2008

Thirty five (35) enthusiastic Year 9 sellers hit the streets, industrial areas, railway stations and shopping centres in the district last Thursday with the objective of selling as many Badges, Pens and Wristbands as possible in an effort to help the widows and dependants of past soldiers.could beat last year‘s total.

Legacy trays were issued and as the boys set off on two chartered buses, we were not sure as to how much we would collect or if we could beat last years total.

But beat it we did – collecting over $3,970, and with style and courtesy. To top it off, two boys – Robert Arends and Robert Laird went to Asquith Station at 6am on Friday and collected another $340 bringing the final total to $4,300.

Five senior students also helped with the Sausage Sizzle on Saturday where over$1,000 was raised for this very worthy cause.

Thanks go to Mr Murphy for his support.
